Mehendi Competition: A Day with Special Kids at Center for Deaf & Dumb

Objective: To exemplify community service and our commitment to the ideal of serving the community

Methodology: The Department, under the chaperonage of Mr. Zameer Sayyed, the programme-coordinator, took the Poona College contestants of ‘Mehandi Competition’ to this school where they showcased their creative talent by applying mehandi-designs on the hands of Special Kids studying in the school. Such a blend of creative efforts and constructive endeavour not only signalized the achievement of the Department in the field of outreach programmes but also suggested concern for others.

Outcome: The first three prize winners and three consolation prize-winners were awarded with Cash-prizes at the hands of the Marathi Film Sairat-famed Art Director Mr. Santosh Sankhad and Former Vividh Bharati Announcer as well as Marathi upcoming movie Tinhi Sanjaa Director Mr. Girish Valvi, the Chief Guests of the event EngWing organized by the Department on 12th of February 2019.
