Screening of the Film Look Back in Anger

Objective:

To encourage the students to indulge in film appreciation, to enhance the students’ understanding of the prescribed text and at the same time gain aesthetic pleasure, to help them gain linguistic competence.

Methodology:

The movie based on John Osborne’s play Look Back in Anger was screened for the students after which the students were encouraged to indulge in an oral appreciation of the film.

Outcome:

The students gained valuable insight into the various nuances of the text through the exposure to the film and at the same time gained aesthetic pleasure.
