Workshop on Phonetics

This one day workshop was conducted for the undergraduate as well as postgraduate students. Ms. Zeenat Merchant was the co-coordinator of the workshop. Mr. Asif Khan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Poona College, who was the Resource Person of the workshop, introduced the delegates to all the English vowel sounds and the way they are pronounced in isolation and in sentences. He exemplified how incorrect pronunciation can cause barriers to communication.

The workshop enabled students to improve their pronunciation and gain competence in English language. 

Sixty delegates who participated in the workshop benefited from the ICT-based power point presentation and apt audio-visual illustrations.
