LITERATURE QUIZ COMPETITION

A Literature Quiz Competition was conducted on 16 February,2018 with the aim of enhancing the literary knowledge of students viz.literary elements of different genres ,historical periods related to Literature, literary figures, literary works and literary devices.Due to tremendous response from the students an elimination round was held .The selected seven teams named after prominent literary figures participated in the competition. The literary acumen of students was tested through eight rounds of Literature Quiz – Multiple Choice Round, Shakespeare Round, Quotation Round, Literary Concepts Round, Rapid Fire Round, Dumb Charades Round, Figures of Speech Round and Literary Figures Round. The First Prize was won by the team Jane Austin, the second prize went to Milton while the third prize was won by Chaucer Students from all faculties who took part in the competition as well as the audience got acquainted with various literary figures, trends and terms through the Literature Quiz.

Ms.Zeenat Merchant,Head,Department of English and Post Graduate Center was the Event Coordinator .
