Screening of the film 'A Doll’s House'

Objective for conducting the activity: To enhance the students’ understanding of the prescribed text and at the same time gain aesthetic pleasure, to encourage the students to indulge in film appreciation, to help them gain linguistic competence.

Methodology: On23rd January 2018 , a movie based on Henrik Ibsen’s novel ‘A Doll’s House’ was screened for the students after which the students were encouraged to indulge in an oral appreciation of the film.

Outcome: Apart from gaining aesthetic pleasure, the students gained  valuable  insight into the various nuances of the text through the exposure to the film.
