Screening of the movie 'The Guide' based on the prescribed novel by R.K.Narayan

 Objective: 

Value consciousness, Gender sensitization, leading to a better understanding of the prescribed novel by screening the movie based on it. Environmental awareness, sensitizing the students to film adaptation of  literary works. 

Methodology:

On 18 January, 2018 after a brief introduction a movie The Guide was screened for the U.G as well as P.G. studentsThe screening was followed by an  oral review of  the movie.

Outcome:

The screening of the movie lead to Gender sensitization, value consciousness, environmental awareness and exposed the students to the repercussions of prejudice and superstitious beliefs on individuals and society. Screening of the movie sensitized the students to film adaptation of  literary works  and lead to a better understanding of the prescribed novel. The task   thus had a didactic as well as entertaining value.
